Check this out in your portion struggle

In this struggle to lose weight we have to ” retrain” ourselves.  As a child you were probably taught to finish all the food on your plate well that does not hold true today.  We need to read our bodies feelings and stop eating once we are SATISFIED.  Yes, that maybe when only consuming half the food on our plates.  For more info check out  http://health.yahoo.com/experts/nutrition/8709/tips-to-feel-satisfied-with-less-food/

    I saw this on yahoo as well. My grandfather was a firm believer in ‘you don’t leave the table until you clean your plate’ and it is very hard to retrain ourselves and how we think of food. I thought it was interesting how they defined satisfied as “not hungry” and one should only eat until no longer hungry- if only we could do it so easily. lol.
